Maan Mandir, Barsana
On Maan Garh, one of Barsana's four peaks, stands the temple of Radha's maan, her loving sulk. For more than sixty years it was also the home of Ramesh Baba, and the ashram he built here, Shri Maan Mandir Seva Sansthan, runs Braj's biggest gaushala and its free 84 kos yatra.
Radha's maan
Krishna was late, kept by Chandravali, and Radha turned away from him. On this hill he pleaded, and at Mor Kuti opposite he danced as a peacock until she softened. Maan is the sulk that only love can coax.
Ramesh Baba
Born in 1938, he came to Braj in 1954 and spent his life at Maan Garh: satsang three times a day, the restoration of Braj's kunds and hills, and the gaushala. Padma Shri 2019. He passed away at Maan Mandir on 6 October 2026, aged 87.
Satsang and sankirtan
The Sansthan carries on the daily satsang and kirtan. Come by 8 AM for the morning satsang; the evening programme starts before 6 PM. Check on arrival, as the schedule may change after Baba's passing.

Counts differ even on the Sansthan's own pages, from 23,000 to over 50,000; a report after Baba's passing put it near 65,000 animals. Land is given as 86 acres by the Sansthan and about 170 acres elsewhere.
The Radha Rani Braj Yatra
Every Kartik since 1988 the Sansthan leads a free yatra on foot around the 84 kos of Braj: about 40 days, about 12 km a day, ending at Gahvar Van. The 2026 yatra runs from 24 October to 28 November. Register at vrajayatra.in, or call +91 99271 94000, +91 99273 38666 or +91 98370 14602.
